About Us

‚ÄčThe Leeton R-X School District, nestled in the southeast corner of Johnson County is an outstanding place to send your children to school.  District goals and student performance go hand-in-hand to reflect the many positive characteristics of both the school district and community that it serves. Small teacher to student ratio ensures children receive the attention and support they need to reach their academic potential. In 2018, Leeton Elementary was recognized for being a National Blue Ribbon School. Being only one of  349 schools recognized, we are truly honored to have received this prestigious award.

A small school with a big heart for children, Leeton provides a variety of opportunities for students to advance both in and out of the classroom. Known for our dual credit programs, many of our high school students graduate with multiple college hours jump-starting their college careers. Internships and work studies allow students to experience a variety of fields before receiving a high school diploma. Come by and visit our school to see what we have to offer. We hope that you decide to be a part of our Leeton family.

Sewer Line Repair

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. As we start the year off, we have been busy getting the facility ready for second semester to begin. Over the break, we had to repair a sewer line that we have had problems with. The line that comes from the high school building and gymnasium came apart at the fitting and toilet paper was collecting at the break. Now that it is fixed, we have a "speed bump" in our driveway. Please drive slow when using the driveway to the back parking lot. Once the dirt settles around the newly installed pipes, we will fix the driveway. Until then, be careful.
