Leeton FCCLA and FFA students hosted and cooked breakfast for all the Veterans, the family members of those Veterans were able to attend and eat as well. After breakfast an assembly that began with our Leeton Highschool band playing “The Star-Spangled Banner” and kindergarten quoting “The Pledge of Allegiance”. A speaker was brought to read off a speech to the students and Veterans that had attended the assembly. Our NHS students planned speeches themselves where they would speak about the meaning of Veterans Day and importance of our Veterans. Taps were played by Highschool Students Brianna Whitely and Leela Thomas. The unfolding of the American flag was performed by Justin Alley and Bell Davidson.
