**Leeton R-X School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Eric Fairchild as the new Head Coach**
Leeton, MO – 5/15/2024 - Leeton R-X School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Eric Fairchild as the new Head Coach for the Leeton High School Girls Basketball team. Coach Fairchild brings a wealth of experience, having most recently led the Butler Lady Bears Basketball Program.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Fairchild to our team," said Superintendent Adam Easterwood. "His extensive experience, focus on positive leadership, and commitment to student-athletes are exactly what we need to inspire and elevate our girls."
Eric Fairchild, expressed enthusiasm about his new role. "I am excited to join Leeton School District and contribute to a tradition of excellence. I look forward to working with the students, parents, and staff to build a competitive and supportive environment for our student-athletes."
Coach Fairchild, currently resides in Clinton, MO with his wife Hallie, who teaches at Clinton Intermediate School, son Treynor, and daughter Zoey. He will begin his duties immediately, preparing for the upcoming basketball season and a busy summer schedule.

**Leeton R-X School District Welcomes Jaina Fellhoelter as New Head Volleyball Coach**
Leeton, MO – 5/14/2024 – Leeton R-X School District is thrilled to announce the hiring of Jaina Fellhoelter as the new Head Volleyball Coach, marking a significant milestone as Volleyball returns to Leeton after a 21-year hiatus. Coach Fellhoelter joins us with an impressive background both as a player and a coach, ready to lead our team into a new era of athletic excellence.
A proud graduate of Windsor High School, Coach Fellhoelter went on to distinguish herself playing collegiately at Central Methodist University, where she honed her skills and passion for the game. She brings a wealth of experience from her current role as the Cub Director and Head Coach of HOA Club Volleyball, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to developing young talent.
"Bringing Volleyball back to Leeton is an exciting opportunity for our students and having Coach Fellhoelter at the helm is a perfect fit," said Adam Easterwood, Superintendent of Leeton R-X School District. "Her ties to the area, coupled with her collegiate achievements, position her perfectly to inspire and elevate our student-athletes."
Coach Fellhoelter expressed excitement about her new role, stating, "I am so thrilled and honored to bring a sport so dear to my heart, to Leeton! Building a program from the ground up and fostering our female athletes into strong, powerhouse volleyball players, is a challenge I am ready to take on and am excited for. I cannot wait to see how far we can go this season and many more to come!" Coach Fellhoelter, her husband Levi, and son Braydon currently reside in the Windsor community and remain active in sports and outdoor activities.

The Leeton Tracksters had a very productive day at Mountain Grove. We took 9 events to Sectionals and we are advancing 5 of the 9 to State this coming week. Julian is moving on in 200 with a PR of 24.47. Camden is moving on in 110 with time of 16.77 and triple jump with a leap of 12.39m. Boys 4x100 of Jaxon, Camden, Tucker, and Julian are moving on with a time of 46.31. Bree Whitley is moving on in shot put with a throw of 9.38m. Brea Warner competed hard today in triple jump and high jump, unfortunately just missed out advancing by 7cm. Brea is going to be missed next year on the track team.

Congratulations to our 2024 Young Authors winners! Our Young Authors contest was open to all students in 2nd-5th grade. Students submitted original pieces of writing that they either have written at school or on their own time. We have some talented young authors in our school!
We may be without power, but we're powering ON! Students have been fed and we're awaiting news on power restoration. We'll keep everyone posted!
Book Blast reveal day is always the best experience!! Thank you to our parents, extended family, and community who helped support this program for our students. Every single one of our kids went home with AT LEAST 4 new books for their home libraries!!! Yippee 🙌🏻

Football Meeting Wednesday - May 8
Coach Franklin and members of his staff will be hosting a football meeting next Wednesday (5/8/24) in the Leeton HS gym from 2:45 - 3:15 pm. Parents are welcome to attend. Coach Franklin will address expectations, exchange contact information, and discuss summer schedules. All students interested in playing football this Fall are encouraged to attend.
